Islay Rum GEAL – Pure Single Rum

Crafted at the Isle of Islay’s first rum distillery in Port Ellen, GEAL—Gaelic for white, clear, bright and pure—offers a distinctly Scottish interpretation of unaged rum. Rather than replicating a single Caribbean style, it draws inspiration from the traditions of Haiti, Jamaica and the French West Indies while expressing the character of its Islay home.

Distilled in small batches using an extended fermentation and the distillery’s custom pot still with twin retorts, GEAL develops a remarkably full-bodied character despite never seeing oak. Expect fresh sugarcane sweetness balanced by tropical fruit, gentle vanilla, peppery spice and a subtle coastal freshness that reflects its island origins.
