A wine with quite a story. The name comes from the day Pieter was nearly arrested for the supposed “murder” of his son — thankfully just a misunderstanding, though the tale even made the local newspaper and now lives on through the label.

Made from 100% Grenache grown in the high-altitude Piekenierskloof region, home to some of South Africa’s finest old vines. The result is a beautifully perfumed wine with elegance and depth. Redcurrant and raspberry glide across the palate, layered with soft herbs, gentle spice, hints of leather and floral notes. Silky and seamless with a lively freshness — reminiscent of Garnacha from Gredos, but with softer tannins. As Pieter says, “the most beautiful Grenache we could find.”
